Jubilee High School

On this school project, Kingsley Roofing London (KRL) were asked to find a solution for problematic metal clad roof, which housed the Design and Technology department. The classroom faced issues of water ingress as well as what appeared to be condensation problem. Due to time and budget constraints, and rather than completely stripping the existing roof or over clad, KRL proposed the use of a bespoke, custom made Profiled Insulation Board with a mechanically fixed Icopal Monarplan Single Ply roofing system. This not only allowed the existing roof to stay in situ (whilst classes below continued) but this also allowed the roof and buildings thermal performance to be upgraded significantly. All the Rooflights were then upgraded and replaced to conform with current Building Regulations. The system was finished in the Anthracite Grey with standing seam to mimic a metal system, and was handed over with a 20 Year Insurance-Backed Guarantee.

RL acted as Principal Contractor on the project which started in term time, and included our Construction Phase Plan, full site set up out of hours, including scaffold, welfare and all necessary safeguarding measures. All of our trained operatives were DBS Enhance checked. This project was funded through CIF bidding and Kingsley worked with a surveyor to ensure maximum value was provided for the school

We arranged site to reduce disruption and risks to school attendees, and coordinated works to minimise construction related issues. This included limiting deliveries to outside of school hours, pausing works when the school breaks were or during assemblies and exams, and leaving the loudest works until after 3pm when students had left site.
